The Kalani High School Varsity Girls Basketball program is designed for highly skilled and experienced athletes who demonstrate advanced basketball knowledge, strong fundamentals, and a deep understanding of team play. Competing at one of the highest levels in the OIA, the program emphasizes discipline, precision, and a relentless work ethic both on and off the court.
Student-athletes selected for the varsity team are expected to bring prior competitive experience and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of their development. Practices are intense and strategic, focusing on advanced offensive and defensive systems, situational awareness, and leadership. Representing Kalani with pride and integrity, varsity players compete against top programs across the state while upholding the Falcons’ core values of opportunity, quality, sportsmanship, and commitment. GO FALCONS!

Biography: Coach Tyler Tsukazaki, a Honolulu native and graduate of Maryknoll High School, brings valuable experience from his time playing at Maryknoll and Lewis and Clark College. He began his coaching career in 2019 and joined the Kalani staff in 2022. Coach Tsukazaki is passionate about teaching fundamental skills and instilling high character traits, teamwork, diligence, and discipline in his athletes. He looks forward to guiding student athletes to reach their full potential, both as players and as individuals.
