The Kalani High School Girls Junior Varsity Tennis program serves as a vital developmental stage for student-athletes preparing to advance to the varsity level. Designed to strengthen fundamental skills and build competitive confidence, the program emphasizes proper technique, match strategy, conditioning, and sportsmanship.
Athletes are guided by dedicated coaches who focus on improving consistency, footwork, and mental focus while introducing players to team dynamics and competitive play. Through structured practices and interscholastic matches, JV players gain valuable experience and a deeper understanding of the game—laying the foundation for future success within Kalani’s proud tennis tradition. GO FALCONS!

Biography: Coach Shaun Miyata is a proud alumnus of Kalani High School, graduating with the class of 2005 after playing for the Falcons from 2003 to 2005. He began his coaching career in 2018, viewing it as an honor to give back to his alma mater and the program that was a significant part of his high school experience. Coach Miyata finds great satisfaction in watching each student athlete set personal goals and helping them achieve or even exceed their expectations.
