The Kalani High School Air Rifle is a varsity-level only program that provides student-athletes with the opportunity to participate in a unique and highly disciplined sport. Prior experience is advantageous but not required to try out. Using .177 caliber air rifles in a carefully monitored and secure environment, participants receive instruction in the fundamentals of marksmanship, including proper stance, breathing techniques, concentration, and trigger control.
This co-educational program emphasizes safety, responsibility, and mental focus as core values. Student-athletes compete both individually and as members of a team in the three standard shooting positions: prone, standing, and kneeling. Competitions follow the guidelines established by the National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle program, ensuring fairness and consistency at the local, regional, and national levels.
Beyond competition, the Air Rifle program fosters personal growth by promoting self-discipline, confidence, and respect for others. It is designed to serve both experienced shooters and those new to the sport, providing a supportive environment in which all student-athletes can succeed. GO FALCONS!
